The twist in this boss fight against these ancient soldiers, is that the third Watcher will turn against his brethren and help you with the fight if you don’t attack. This fight is a classic one on one, until another spawns to join the fight. This boss fight has everything Souls fans have grown to love, as the challenge of the game ramps up to 11. That and the hundreds of bodies that litter the boss arena. Promptly slaying the challenger and turning to you gives you the sense that this Lord is not to be messed with. As you solve the puzzle and extinguish the fires to access The Abyss Watchers, you witness one of the Lords of Cinder mid battle destroying an opponent. Coming into Farron Keep, you already get the sense that the game is ramping up in both challenge and story. The fight against the Abyss Watchers might be my favourite moment from any of the souls games. These are my favourite boss fights ranked from 1-19. Every boss fight has its unique style and a reason to enjoy it. I’m ranking these fights based on challenge, lore, general mechanics and soundtrack. These battles are memorable for a number of reasons. Dark Souls 3 is an incredible game and is made all the more special by the thrilling and adrenaline inducing boss fights.
